2020 Best Workplaces in Asia Toolkit

About the Best Workplaces in Asia List:

Great Place To Work® identifies the top organizations that create great workplaces in the Asia and Middle East regions through publishing the annual Best Workplaces in Asia list. The list recognizes companies in three size categories: Small & Medium (20 - 499); Large (500+); and Multinational. To be considered for inclusion, companies must appear on one or more of our national lists in the region, which includes Greater China (covering China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau), India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and UAE. Multinational organizations must meet the following requirements: 1) Have at least 1,000 employees worldwide, with at least 40% (or 5,000) of those employees based outside the headquarters country and 2) Appear on at least two national lists. Multinationals also receive additional credit for their efforts to successfully create an excellent workplace culture in multiple countries in the region. The data used in the calculation of the regional list comes from national lists published in 2019 and early 2020.

Logo Usage Terms

Please note: Companies cannot use the Great Place To Work® corporate logo.

Where you can use Asia’s Best Workplaces list logo:
Only companies recognized as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces in Asia can use this logo. The logo cannot be used by these same companies in a country in which their company is not recognized on that country’s Great Place To Work® list. For example, if Company X is listed in Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Ireland, and Germany, that company could use the logo only in those countries. And, in this case, Company X would not be allowed to use the logo in the UK.

However, if company X wants to use this logo in an international, global or corporate campaign, it can do so if it mentions the countries (i.e., in this case, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Ireland, and Germany), in which it is recognized as a great workplace by Great Place To Work®.

Who is Great Place To Work®?

Who’s eligible for Great Place To Work's Best Workplaces™ lists?

In general, U.S. companies that:

  • Have at least 10 full- and/or part-time employees
  • Are Great Place To Work-Certified™ companies as of the list deadline
  • To become Certified, companies must survey their employees using our flagship assessment, the Trust Index © , and complete a Culture Brief™.

Certain lists may require more employees (50+). Please call us for specifics if you’re interested in a particular list.

How are Best Workplaces selected?

We use our For All™ Model and Methodology to evaluate our pool of Great Place To Work-Certified companies. Top performing companies are recognized as Best Workplaces. To become Certified, companies must survey their employees using our flagship assessment, the Trust Index©, and complete a Culture Brief.

What is the deadline?

You must complete your Great Place To Work Certification by the Last Day to Get Certified for that list on our List Deadlines page.

What happens if I don’t make the list?

First, rest assured, we keep results completely confidential. We never disclose the names of companies who participate in the process but do not get recognized. You have nothing to lose.
