One campaign, called Remarkable Impact, invites patients to speak to employees about the impact that AbbVie has had on their lives. The goal of this campaign is to show employees that everyone plays a role in the success of the company and that ultimately, everyone’s efforts serve to impact patient care by addressing some of the most complex and serious diseases.

Employees appreciate the opportunity to hear from patients directly, with one participant saying, "The session was very interesting. [The patient] was formidable and highly informed, and really made the event worth attending. Demonstrating the connection with patients so clearly is inspiring."

Another program that connects employees AbbVie’s mission is the Patients at Heart volunteering program. Employees are encouraged to use 8 hours of volunteer time each year to support a charity related to healthcare – whether or not it’s within AbbVie’s therapy areas. Stories of volunteer projects are shared broadly across the organization to help promote participation and keep employees inspired about their important work.

AbbVie employees are not only focused on improving health and wellness for their customers, but for themselves and their colleagues, as well. The AbbVie in Motion program promotes healthy living and friendly competition on an annual basis. Prizes for weekly exercise minutes and a global photo contest got employees’ hearts pumping. One participant remarks, "This gave me the incentive to get more active. It is great working for a company that treats my physical wellbeing as a priority."
